Kept on this device only
Privacy & your health information
This guide is built so that sensitive notes about your loved one never leave the device you're using.
Where your entries live
Everything you type — medications, vitals, care team contacts, questions for the doctor — is saved in your browser's local storage on this device. There is no account, no sign-in, and nothing is sent to a server. We never see it.
Because it lives only here, clearing your browser data for this site, using private browsing, or switching to another phone or computer means the entries won't be there. Print or save a copy of your care binder if you want a lasting record.
Keeping it private on a shared device
If others use this phone or laptop, set a passcode on the binder page. It locks the binder and re-locks it after ten minutes of no activity. The passcode is stored only as a scrambled fingerprint on this device and can't be recovered if forgotten.
Anything you print, screenshot, email, or text carries the same health information with none of these protections — treat those copies the way you'd treat a medical record.
A note about HIPAA
HIPAA governs healthcare providers, health plans, and the companies that handle records on their behalf. A family member keeping notes about a loved one isn't covered by it, and neither is this guide, because your information is never transmitted to or stored by us.
That also means the protections here are the ones your own device provides. If your organization needs a version with accounts, sharing between family members, and audit trails under a business associate agreement, that requires a hosted version built for it.
No tracking
The guide doesn't use advertising trackers or analytics that follow you, and no third-party script can read what you've written into these pages.
Not medical advice
This guide helps you organize information and questions. It doesn't diagnose, treat, or replace guidance from your loved one's clinicians. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
